Forty-four African countries, including Cameroon, signed the agreement establishing a Continental Free Trade Area in Africa (CFTA) on 21 March 2018 in Kigali, Rwanda. This area is considered vital to Africa's economic development as it will foster increased intra-African trade. Oku Honey: High demand

According to internationally consolidated statistics, in 2015, Cameroon produced 3341 tonnes of honey and exported 900. Such production is largely exported to Nigeria and Europe where demand is growing. The high demand for Oku honey shows high prospects for the beekeeping sector. This will provide jobs to private investors who can produce, collect or package this non-timber forest product.

Goods transport : The port of Kribi goes operational

The ship "Bianca" that left Asia in January this year finally docked at the Kribi Deep Sea Port on Friday, 2 March 2018. The 335-mettre long commercial vessel weighing some 90,000 tonnes with a carrying capacity of 8500 containers offloaded a little more than 500 containers, hardware products, materials for the construction of the African Cup of Nations infrastructure, wood, cars and so on. This is the first time a ship of this size has docked in Cameroon.
