Shrimp fishing in Cameroon
At the end of 2024, Cameroon adopted a law to regulate subsidies in the maritime fishing sector. According to the FAO, this law and the associated management plans aim to ensure a balance between the biological potential of stocks and fishing capacity, while maximizing the net socio-economic benefits derived from shrimp exploitation.
